TOTAL LIME SCALE PROTECTION
The revolution in unique
protection against lime-scale buildup -- without
salt or magnets! For residential AND industrial
installations
Testing AQA total was
tested in accordance with DVGW and OVGW Guidelines (which represent
the highest European Standards) and tested in extensive series of
tests all over Europe. The results were so successful that
performance guarantee, according to DVGW Standard W 512, can be
given.
AQA total - powered by IQ
Technology - is the only device that:
- Lime scale remains in the water and not in the water pipes or
heater
- Drinking water remains drinking water with all its valuable
life sustaining salts and does not add sodium to the water
- Has full performance guarantee according to the highest
European Guidelines (e.g., DBGW W 512)
- Is practically service-free; the cartridge only needs to be
replaced at long-term intervals, depending on water quality and
consumption.
- Is economical; low energy consumption of less than 2
Watt/gal
Excerpts of DBGW Guideline W
512
- Hot water tank temperature, 176 degrees F
- Duration of tests: 2 x 21 days
- Quantity of water sampled: about 34 gal/day, about 720
gal/test
- Test water hardness: about 25 grains/gal
- The cold test water must have a minimum calciumcarbonate
precipitation potential (CCPP) of 30 ppm CaCo3.
A device has passed the test if the lime-scale outcome is 80%
less on the coil. Our unit's performance was 95%.
How AQA total - powered by IQ
-Works
The active part of IQ consists of a three-dimensional electrode,
which is formed from electrically conductive and nonconductive
particles. The application of specific current/voltage impulses to
these electrically conductive particles results in a local
displacement of the hardness carbon dioxide equilibrium. The height
and width of the impulses depend on the present composition of the
water and the flow rate.
As a result of the local displacement of the hardness carbon
dioxide equilibrium, tiny calcium carbonate crystals, the so-called
nanocrystals, are formed in the active part of IQ. Because of the
small size of the nanocrystals, they carry an electrical load that
prevents coalescience. The nanocrystals in their entirety are able
to trap the hardness in the water, which prevents lime scale
build-up in pipes and water heaters. The result -- hardness stays in
the water and not as deposit in pipes and water heaters. Lime scale
deposits, which can form through evaporation of water (e.g., on
showerheads, fittings, and shower partitions) can be easily wiped
away.
With AQA total
- powered by IQ, the lime-scale problem is finally solved!
